Natasha from New York

Our new girl of the week is senior Natasha Bullard. Natasha is from New York. She says that “I found out about SBC through my SAT Prep Course. My teacher showed my class a video.” Natasha says that many things attracted her to the college but “the network of alums and lucrative scholarships,” were some of the main things. Natasha like many of her other college classmates, Sweet Briar’s beautiful campus also attracted her here. Also like many of her classmates she absolutely loves “the small community.”
Natasha misses lots from her home state but she says that “New York City, my friends, and home,” are at the top of her list; and if you ever decide to travel to New York, Natasha says “go to the city, its amazing! Travel upstate, it’s beautiful.”
Aside from Natasha’s busy city lifestyle, she loves to paint. A soothing and calming hobby that she likes to do, that many may not know about her.

Madeline from Texas

Our new girl of the week is Madeline Eubanks from Texas. She is a Junior here at Sweet Briar College. Madeline says that "I babysit for the Prothro family and they encouraged me to look at Sweet Briar." When she did look at Sweet Briar she was attracted to "the small class sizes, and the round table discussion classroom setup." Like most of her other classmates, she loves "the beautiful campus." She says that "even when you're tired and don't want to go to class at least you're in beautiful surroundings."
Although Madeline may love the beautiful campus here at SBC, she misses a lot from her homestate, Texas. "Texas is definitely a state of mind. I miss the friendly, laid back hospitality that seems to shine through in everyone that's proud to call themselves a Texan."
If you ever decide to travel to Texas, Madeline suggest a few places to go. She claims that "on a touristy level I would say you need to go see The Alamo in San Antonio. It's basically the figure head of Texas history." She also says that "on a more fun level I would say hit up the stockyards in Fort Worth." This way " you'll get a real taste for the fun Texas/cowboy lifestyles." Madeline also claims that if you visit, that "you can't go wrong with country music, two-stepping, and a beer."
If you ever run across Madeline and you want to start some good conversation, ask her about what's new with Brittney Spears because she is "totally addicted to celebrity news magazines."
